Together the number of the principal rebels who were hanged & strangled... A Paris, chez J. Bessin, 1625. In-8, 16 p., ochre half-percaline 19th c., gilt title on the spine (title a little faded). Rare testimony of a Languedoc episode of the Second War of Religion in France. The victorious royal troops here were commanded by Marshal Pons de Lauzières de Cardaillac, Marquis de Thémines (1553-1627), who was appointed governor of Brittany the following year.
