History of medicine, where we see the origin and progress of this art, from century to century; the sects that have been formed; the names of the doctors, their discoveries, their opinions... The Hague, J. van der Kloot, 1729. In-4, [9] f., 820 p., [9] f., pl., fr., contemporary brown calf, spine with 5 nerves and decorated, replaced in the taste of the time, corners restored (spotting). The most complete edition of this work dealing mainly with the medicine of antiquity. It is illustrated with a frontispiece and 8 plates engraved on copper. Page 287 with a folding genealogical table. (Wellcome III, 470; Waller II, 14010: Hirsch III, 710). Provenance: ex-dono dated Lourdes, 19th century, to a doctor (Peyret?).
