A Rouen, de l'Imprimerie privilégiée, et se trouve à Paris, chez Didot le Jeune et Méquignon, 1778. Two volumes in-4, CXXXV-1076 p. in continuous. That is to say 3 volumes in-4, contemporary marbled havana half-basin, spine with five nerves, blond and bronze title-pieces and tomato-pieces, speckled edges (defects of use and small restorations, 2 tomato-pieces inverted). A beautiful collection in uniform binding of these important works of surveys and observations, of which the last two volumes, printed in Rouen, concern mainly Normandy. The author, L. Lépecq de La Clôture (1736-1804), doctor of medicine at the University of Caen in 1755, practised in Caen (1763) and then in Rouen from 1768 onwards; he was chief physician of the Hôtel-Dieu of Rouen and professor of surgery, as well as a titular member (1778) of the Academy of Sciences, Belles-Lettres and Arts of Rouen, of which he was elected president in 1782 and then in 1791.
