Late 17th - early 18th century D. 6 cm Accidents and restorations on the dial - without glass - Chronometry not verified The Protestant Gribelin family originated in Blois and several of its members were renowned clockmakers, goldsmiths and engravers, notably Nicolas, active between 1674-97, who received the title of Valet de Chambre-Horloger du Roi, clockmaker to Monseigneur le Grand Dauphin in 1674, and was received as Master Clockmaker on June 5, 1675.
