Manufacture BACCARAT Part of a cut crystal glass service model "Juvisy" (Before 1936, Unsigned) comprising 91 pieces: - 22 champagne glasses (2 with chips) - 21 water glasses (including 2 with chips and 1 with crack) - 17 red wine glasses (1 chipped, 1 cracked) - 22 white wine glasses (1 chipped) - 2 liqueur glasses - 2 decanters with stoppers - 3 salt shakers - 2 mustard pots (1 lid missing) - 2 decanters, one with stopper The Service Juvisy was created for the Exposition Universelle de Paris in 1867 under the name Service 35, then reissued for the 1878 Exposition Universelle. The service is available as a water glass, white wine glass, liqueur glass and champagne glass in a classic style. In 1899, Emile Loubet, President of the Republic, chose it for the Elysée Palace, marked with the initials RF (République Française). This service still graces the presidential table at major official receptions.
