CHARPENTIER & CIE, Paris Gilt-bronze terminal clock surmounted by a basin with handles simulating goats, the pinecone-shaped handle decorated with garlands. The enamelled dial is signed CHARPENTIER & Cie, with the minutes in Arabic numerals and the hours in Roman numerals, and flanked by two lateral masks and surmounted by two polychrome sheet metal plates, one decorated with flowers, the other with cherubs, the whole resting on 4 feet. 19th century work H. 37 cm; L. 20 cm (approx.) Loss of gilding and traces of oxidation
